How video API pricing per second works
Every model has a rate in credits per second for each resolution, and Veo adds a cheaper silent rate. When you create a video, the API multiplies that rate by the clip length, rounds up to a whole credit and holds the result from your balance. The same number comes back as cost_credits on the video object, so your code knows the price of a job the moment it is accepted.
If the balance is too small, the request is refused with HTTP 402 and the code insufficient_credits, and the message states how many credits that clip needs. If an accepted job later fails, the hold is released back to your balance automatically.
Video API pricing for every model
The video API pricing in this table is generated from the catalog our billing server reads, so it cannot drift from what you are charged. The per-second column matches credits_per_second in GET /v1/models; the last column is each model’s default length, with sound where offered.
| Model | Res | Credits / s | Default clip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Veo 3.1 Litesound: optional | 720p | 30 (18 silent) | 6s: 180 |
| 1080p | 48 (30 silent) | 6s: 288 | |
| Veo 3.1 Fastsound: optional | 720p | 90 (60 silent) | 8s: 720 |
| 1080p | 90 (60 silent) | 8s: 720 | |
| Kling 3.0 Turbosound: always | 720p | 67.2 | 5s: 336 |
| MiniMax H3 Max Turbosound: none | 480p | 15 | 5s: 75 |
| 768p | 24 | 5s: 120 | |
| 1080p | 48 | 5s: 240 | |
| Wan 3.0sound: optional | 480p | 30 | 5s: 150 |
| 720p | 60 | 5s: 300 | |
| 1080p | 120 | 5s: 600 | |
| Seedance 2.0sound: optional | 480p | 80.7 | 5s: 404 |
| 720p | 182.04 | 5s: 911 | |
| 1080p | 409.2 | 5s: 2046 | |
| Seedance 2.0 Minisound: optional | 480p | 43.26 | 4s: 174 |
| 720p | 92.82 | 4s: 372 | |
| Seedance 2.5sound: optional | 480p | 132.3 | 5s: 662 |
| 720p | 283.8 | 5s: 1419 | |
| Grok Imagine 1.5sound: always | 480p | 48 | 6s: 288 |
| 720p | 84 | 6s: 504 |
Silent rates in brackets apply when you send "audio": false. Each rate follows what the provider charges us, which is why a second of Seedance 2.5 costs several times a second of MiniMax H3. For Google’s model in depth, with a live request builder, see the Veo 3 API page.

The cheapest model for each job
Computed across every length, resolution and sound setting the API accepts:
- Any clip at all (smoke tests, drafts): Veo 3.1 Lite, 4s, 720p, silent, 72 credits.
- A clip with sound: Veo 3.1 Lite, 4s, 720p, sound, 120 credits.
- Full HD 1080p: Veo 3.1 Lite, 4s, 1080p, silent, 120 credits.
- A 10-second shot: MiniMax H3 Max Turbo, 10s, 480p, silent, 150 credits.
- Ten seconds with sound: Wan 3.0, 10s, 480p, sound, 300 credits.
- Vertical 9:16 with sound: Veo 3.1 Lite, 4s, 720p, sound, 120 credits.
Lowest price is not always best value. Seedance 2.0 charges more per second, but it can cut between angles inside a single clip, which replaces two renders and an edit. Veo Fast costs more than Lite at the same length and is the tier for close-ups or spoken lines that must hold up on a large screen.

Estimate video API pricing for N videos a day
The formula is short: daily credits equal videos per day times credits per clip, and a pack lasts its total divided by that figure. Failed jobs cost nothing, so count successful renders only. Here is video API pricing for thirty days of common workloads, in dollars at the Studio pack’s per-credit price:
| Per day | Credits / day | 30 days | ≈ USD |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 Veo 3.1 Lite drafts (4s, 720p, silent) | 720 | 21,600 | $166 |
| 5 Veo 3.1 Lite clips (6s, 720p, sound) | 900 | 27,000 | $207 |
| 2 Veo 3.1 Fast clips (8s, 720p, sound) | 1,440 | 43,200 | $332 |
| 40 MiniMax H3 Max Turbo clips (5s, 480p) | 3,000 | 90,000 | $691 |
At five Lite clips with sound a day, a Creator pack lasts 4 days and a Studio pack 11 days. To stretch a pack, test prompts on short silent renders, keep sound for the final version, and stay at 720p unless the output goes to a big screen.
Tracking spend from your code
Read GET /v1/balance before a large batch and stop queuing when it runs low. GET /v1/models needs no key, so your own app can show current rates without exposing a secret.
curl https://sivideoapi.com/v1/balance -H "Authorization: Bearer $SIVIDEOAPI_KEY"
# {"object": "balance", "credits": 1100, …}
curl https://sivideoapi.com/v1/models
# each model lists credits_per_second for every resolutionWhat costs nothing
- API keys: create, name and revoke up to ten active keys per account.
- Uploading reference images for image to video.
- Polling, listing, deleting and downloading your videos.
- Requests rejected before a job starts: invalid parameters, a blocked prompt or a short balance.
- Jobs that fail after they start, refunded in full.
Which pack fits your workload
Starter (1,100 credits) is sized for integration work: wiring up the endpoints, testing error handling and comparing a few models. Creator adds 20% bonus credits and fits a small app or a daily content job. Studio adds 30% and is the lowest price per credit, meant for production traffic and batch jobs. The video API pricing per second is identical on every pack; bigger packs only change how many credits a dollar buys.
Compared with a monthly plan, prepaid video API pricing suits traffic that comes in bursts. A launch week can burn through a Studio pack while a quiet month costs nothing, and there is no renewal date to plan around.
Video API pricing FAQ
Is there a subscription or a monthly minimum?
Neither. Each pack is a one-time purchase, nothing renews, and a month with no API traffic costs nothing. Buy the same pack again whenever you need to; the credits simply add to your balance.
Do credits expire?
No. Unused credits stay on the account with no end date, so buying a larger pack early carries no risk of losing the remainder.
Are failed or blocked renders charged?
No. The cost is held when a job is accepted and handed back if it ends as failed, whether the provider errored, the model declined the prompt or the render ran out of time. A failed video still reports its cost_credits, so to reconcile spending, add up cost_credits over videos whose status is succeeded.
Is sound charged extra?
Only where a model prices it separately: Veo 3.1 Lite and Veo 3.1 Fast render silent clips at a lower rate. Kling 3.0 Turbo and Grok Imagine 1.5 always include sound, MiniMax H3 Max Turbo is silent, and Wan 3.0, Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Mini and Seedance 2.5 cost the same with or without it.
Do you offer volume discounts or enterprise contracts?
There are no contracts or custom plans. Volume video API pricing is built into the packs: Studio adds 30% bonus credits, bringing a credit down to 0.77 cents against 0.90 cents on Starter.
How do I pay?
Checkout is handled by Stripe and accepts major credit and debit cards; Stripe may offer other methods depending on your country. We never see or store your card number.
Payment problems such as a duplicate charge are covered by our refund policy. Endpoint details are in the API documentation, keys live on the API key dashboard, and the SiVideoAPI home page lists every model. Other questions about video API pricing go to support@sivideoapi.com.
